1st Grade Curriculum

Language Arts - Early reading skills, poetry, stories.

Math - Basic math skills taught in creative and engaging ways, math games, counting poems.

Science - A story and activity-based introduction to biomes, ecosystems, botany (flowers, planting seeds), animals, and more.

Social Studies/Diversity - Introductory geography, uniqueness of people and cultures, friendship, children around the world.

Peace Studies -The word “peace” around the world.

Art - Child as artist, pencils, watercolors, introduction to great works of art.
